Why Our Weber Q Range is So Popular

Weber BBQ is so well-loved and ubiquitous that many consumers say ‘Weber’ when they mean ‘barbeque grill’. That this brand has been adopted as a generic name for grills speaks to its quality, accessibility, and popularity. And among its wide range of models, the Weber Q has a high ranking. It’s one of the newest models, first introduced to the Aussie market in the 2000’s.

Like all Weber units, the Weber Q BBQ comes backed by a 5-year warranty, which customers recognise as a mark of quality. Warranties reassure consumers since they don’t have to worry about high repair bills. After all, everyone loves the chance to save money. But more importantly, it shows them that Weber still cares about them years after they’ve made their purchase.

The Weber Q is a handy, portable unit, ideal for grilling on the move. It’s the perfect camping accessory, and it even comes with wing-like counter surfaces on either side. These are convenient for chopping small vegetables, or supporting your jar of marinade, seasoning, or meat rub while you cook.

This grill series has three sizes in red, black, or titanium making them a stylish yet practical accessory. It looks good whether it’s hard at work or quietly gracing your tabletop or campsite. This matters because today’s kitchen is as driven by fashion as it is by function.

All Weber Q lids and bodies are constructed using cast aluminium, making them beautifully strong and glossy. The inside of the grill is made of cast iron for greater heat distribution, and the entire grill, both inside and out, is completely rust-proof.

They are fitted with removable drip-trays for easy clean-up and can be kept spotless using Weber All-purpose Barbeque cleaner. You can also apply a coat of Weber Metal protectant, though the Weber Q has inbuilt rust resistance, so the protectant isn’t strictly necessary.

Weber Q units are easy to light, thanks to their heavy duty push-button ignition. They can be powered by natural gas (NG) or liquid petroleum gas (LPG), depending on your preferences and the model you buy. Cooking with a Weber Q is pleasurable and easy. The high domed roof is ideal for roasting, and the temperature is simply controlled with the turn of a knob.

To ensure you have the right heat for your chosen recipe, the Weber Q has an integrated nylon thermostat protected with glass, which is also cool to the touch so you don’t have to worry about burning your fingers as you adjust heating levels. Each Weber Q unit comes with a Q Recipe Book to get you started on the barbeque.

The Weber Q is fully portable at 16kg with a 14 cm cooking height, while the Weber Q 2200 has a higher lid and can be transported either on its own or using a Weber Cart. The Weber Q 2200 and Weber Q Premium have a few additional features.

They have an option for porcelain enamel cooking surfaces in addition to the usual cast iron grill and they have thermometers built into their lids. Their burners are made from stainless steel. All Weber Q units have a curvy design supported by a stylishly solid base.
