The Weber itself came to Australia way back in 1978 (that’s 40 years ago!), when the very first Australian sales rep, Ross McDonald, started introducing us Aussies to the kettle drum that is the original kettle design. It was less than 10 years later in 1986 that Webers soared to new heights when kettle sales hit over 80,000 units sold – making it a staple in backyards the country over.
It wasn’t until 2003 that Weber revolutionised the BBQ market yet again, with the release of the Weber Q – now also a backyard favourite. The design of the Weber Q was many years in the making, and its popularity is an attest to the developers of this new wave of barbeques. While competitors have copied this new style of design, nobody does it quite like Weber.
Nowadays, Weber isn’t just doing their kettle and Q series models, there are plenty of full sizes, rectangular, traditional still barbeque grills in their ranges to choose from – and we carry them all.
